Gender Affirming Electrolysis

As a trans femme electrologist, I personally know the distress facial and body hair can cause. My private clinic is a no judgment safe space. You will be treated with respect and empathy. For client comfort with surgery preparation electrolysis, I use draping and a screened off area.

While working on permanent removal of your unwanted hair, my immediate goal is to get you relief from hair related dysphoria as quickly as possible.

Towards this, I typically focus first on area(s) that can be cleared of hair the fastest (or are client requested). Then I keep it clear as I advance into any remaining areas to clear and maintain over the various hair growth cycles until complete.
As I can perform electrolysis ambidextrously, this eliminates the typical need for primary handedness extra positioning of the client, the electrologist or the table. Being able to do insertions equally using either hand to zap the hairs makes me faster. (Fun fact: I'm a switch hitter in softball.)
Per Oregon HB 2002, for clients with a gender dysphoria medical code, OHP and most Oregon based private medical insurance are required to cover gender affirming care. This includes facial and surgical preparation electrolysis. Employer self-funded medical insurance may be excluded from coverage.
As above, I am able to accept Oregon private insurance on reimbursement for gender affirming electrolysis. For this, you pay at the time of service and get reimbursed by your insurance. Or if no insurance that qualifies is available to cover electrolysis, self-pay is an option.
